TRANSPORT THROUGH STUFF
FULL DOCUMENT PROJECT
Brand Environment Studio 2
Transport Through Stuff explores the relationship between urban movement and the buried memories hidden within archaeological fragments. Inspired by glass bottles unearthed during the excavation of Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel, the installation tells their stories as “bottles of time” that once carried the flow of culture, trade, and daily rituals that shaped the city across centuries.
The design reflects on these silhouettes, using layers of glass and shifting light to evoke a quiet passage through time. In this installation, the artifacts are no longer seen as broken remains but as vessels that carried culture, movement, and lived experience, much like a metro station that invites us, if only briefly, to pause and return to the past centuries.

IDEATIONS
TRANSPORT THROUGH STUFF
Through layers of glass, reflection, and gentle light, Transport Through Stuff invites viewers into a space where transparency and memory intertwine. The design turns everyday movement into a quiet pause where the rhythm of the city meets traces of its past, and forgotten artefacts are reimagined as living memories that travel with us through time.
